All you wanted to know about a Summer Wedding

Well we often hear of the wedding season in full swing during the summers. But do we really wonder as to what exactly is the length of the summer months which can truly be referred to as the summer wedding season? The fact is that nowadays the conventional idea of the June bride extends to the entire summer, with May, June, July and August being among the most popular and sought after months to get hitched. And naturally wedding venues, photographers or other wedding related vendors get booked up quite in advance for the summer months, and at times an year or two ahead.

Now the question to be asked is what really makes these months to be in so much demand and of course what are the pros and cons of a summer wedding? There is no doubt that there could be an immense possibility that that the idea of the June bride can be derived from the Greek and Roman mythology where Juno was the Greek goddess of marriage. As June was named after Juno, so obviously the couples prefer to opt this month for marriage and receiving extra blessings on their union. Now as far as the pros and cons of a summer wedding are concerned, the June wedding certainly ensures that the bride remains as clean as possible and a bouquet of beautiful flowers would be present to cover up any extra whiffs.

In the context of modern weddings, couples very much prefer a summer wedding for a flurry of reasons. To begin with the days are longer and warmer in Britain implying a better scope for outdoor photos with more light. Also the guests won’t mind and rather would be pleased to stand outside waiting for photo session to be over in the warmer months along with relishing a cool glass of Pimms and enjoying the wedding entertainment act. Also the cars or carriages being open-top, can leverage a lot of scope for photography. Then of course there are a huge variety of flowers in the summer season thereby rendering more possibilities for bouquets and flower arrangements and that too a lot cheaper.

Not to forget numerous avenues also open up as reception venues in summer, with marquees, gardens being available as an option for both ceremony and receptions. Finally considering the wedding entertainment the atmosphere for acoustic guitarist, singer and other live performers is pretty encouraging to play outside in the open for the guests to have a blast.
