Wedding arrangement- seating plan

Now that most of the arrangements for the wedding have been done, you can finalise your wedding reception seating arrangements. A good venue may have a lot of options when it comes to seating arrangements. The seating arrangement also depends on the wedding locations.

1.      One long rectangular table- you may just have one long rectangular table with the groom and the bride on one end so that they are visible to all. The parents can sit next to them followed by friends. It is perfect for intimate weddings where the gathering is not much.
Advantages-
Makes the occasion intimate
Comparatively cheaper than other arrangements
Good option for destination weddings
The event manager can work on good décor
Disadvantages
Looks good in outdoor arrangements
It is very difficult to interact with all the guests. They might be seated far away.

2.      Round table- this is a popular seating arrangement for weddings. Most of the wedding venues in London offer this arrangement. This allows you to sit in small groups and chat. You may be seated with friends. A good host will ensure that like-minded people are sitting together.
Advantages
These tables are readily available with all the venue owners and event managers
Even if a few people are missing, it won’t make any difference
This arrangement allows socializing and chatting
Disadvantages
You need a spacious venue for such an arrangement
The linen and centerpieces should be carefully chosen

3.      Square tables- in this arrangement, we use square tables instead of round ones. Although the style is the same but its in trend these days. Round tables were used since ages. To beat the monotony, square tables have replaced them.
Advantages
These are latest and modern
The overall look is great
You feel something new about the décor
Disadvantages
You will have to confirm if square tables are available with the venue or event manager since not all have this arrangement
It will cost you a little more if you need to hire them

4.      Mixed seating arrangement- in this type of arrangement, you choose more than one style. It could be large center rectangular table for family and small square tables all around for others. You can also choose a mix of square and round tables. It could also be a mix of large rectangle table and small square tables.
Advantages
Makes the party look unique
It’s an uncommon idea
Disadvantage
It has to be well planned
