It has become a necessity to have the right number of guest on the list for hosting a wedding without breaking the bank. Here are the 7 ways in which you can keep your wedding invitation list small-
1. Give Specific Numbers to Parents
Before your Parents start inviting all the friends and family members, let them know the maximum number of people they can invite. Separate the number decided for parents 50-50 for both bride and groom. This way you can keep a check on the total number of guests being invited.
2. Invite People you are in Touch with
Make sure to invite your current friends. If you haven't talked with a person for more than a year, then you can skip them from your invitation list. Your Facebook friends do not qualify for the invitation.
3. Divide your Guests into Groups
Create separate lists for all the people you want to invite to your wedding including family members, colleagues, friends, extended family members, etc. Assign priorities to the different groups and people. Add higher priority members to your invitation list first and see if you can invite more.
4. Host a Post-Wedding Party
If you have invited too few people or just the family members on your wedding, then you can invite the people you missed out to a less expensive post-wedding party. Bring this up to the managers wedding venue, for sure they would love to sort this for you.
5. Do not Invite Children
You need to pay for children just like adults (per person) and inviting children will quickly increase your numbers.
6. Do let the guests know that it’s your special event
Let them know that you are specifically inviting only the close friends and family members to be part of the celebrations. Ask the guests to make sure that you request a RSVP and make sure they let you know if they insist have someone very close to them to be part of the wedding as well. They will appreciate this and will feel special for receiving your invitation.
